How do I get home?
Do I know the way?
How long have I been wandering?
How often have I let myself be led,
By shadows?
Which guide am I listening to?
To the shouting know-it-all?
That loud voice?
Or to the loving
Gentle but decisive one?
The Light is in me as a beacon
Do I turn away from it
Or towards it?
Do I keep it for myself alone
Or do I bring it to others?
The answer must be this:
⁶Turn toward the light, for the little spark in you is part of a light so great that it can sweep you out of all darkness forever. [CE T-11.III.9:6]
⁵Think like Him ever so slightly, and the little spark becomes a blazing light that fills your mind, so that He becomes your only Guest. [CE T-11.III.1:5]
⁶Walk in light and do not see the dark companions, for they are not fit companions for the Son of God, who was created of light and in light. ⁷The great light always surrounds you and shines out from you. ⁸How can you see the dark companions in a light such as this? ⁹If you see them, it is only because you are denying the light. ¹⁰But deny them instead, for the light is here and the way is clear.
